The Lowkeylina Interview

Get to know the 17 year old influencer from the Chicago area

When did you get interested in social media? What was the first app you grew a following on?

I gained interest in social media way back in 2015, thats when I knew I wanted to be a social media influencer. The first app I gained followers on was Younow, which is an app to go live on, & I would sing & do cheer tricks.

What has been your proudest / coolest moment being an influencer?

My proudest/ coolest moment of being an influencer would have to be getting noticed in public & receiving my 100k subscriber plaque from youtube.

What was the first time being noticed in public like? Do you remember the experience?

Being noticed in public for the first time was so weird to me but it made me feel so special.

What do you think makes you stand out from the rest?

Most people my age do this for money & all that, I genuinely just want to make people happy & write relatable songs to listen too.

What are your goals for the future and your career?

My goals for my future & career would be to move to LA sometime & also to just go on tours with all my other social media friends

Do you have any new music coming out soon, or are you playing any shows soon?

I currently have 2 songs out on Apple Music, Spotify, etc, but I've released some on my youtube channel & some I haven’t released yet, so stay on the lookout!!

Who are some of your favorite musical artists?

I musically look up to Billie Eilish & Grace Vanderwaal. They got me into the ukulele & just gave me a certain type of inspiration.

Who do you want to collaborate with in the future? Music and social media wise

I’d want to to collaborate with one of my best friends & amazing singers, Mackenzie Ziegler in the future with a song.

What is the hardest thing about being an influencer ?

The hardest thing about being an influencer is that well, I’m 17 years old, I have a lot going on in my life & sometimes it’s hard to hide it all. I try my best to hide my rough patches but I also want my supporters to know that it’s okay not to be okay. There are also a lot of negative people that sometime get to my head but I usually shrug them off.

How do you manage your time between being an influencer and school work?

I manage going to school & being an influencer by doing online school at my school. My mental illnesses got ahead of me & it was hard to maintain school, so now I go to school for 2 & a half hours & do it only & then go home.

What are the best and worst things about being a young creator?

The best things about being a young creator would be getting noticed in public & asked to take pictures with people. The worst things about being a young creator would be again, the negative people who will do anything to bring you down.

What advice do you have for kids who want to follow the same path as you?

Some advice I have for other kids who want to follow the same path as me would be to always always always be yourself, I know its cheesy but it’s the only way people will be able to see the real you.
